Integrating momma and her three 10 week old babies

I would go with the second choice, build a new coop in the run, and let them see more of each other, then free range them together. The mom and chicks will probably go back to their own coop at night.
Yep!! I think that’s exactly what I’m going to do. We are going to try to get it done this weekend. Thank you so much for your reply! :)

Yep, I think that is a good idea, basically you are looking at eventually putting together a flock of 30 birds. None of what you showed is enough space for all of them to be together. You need something around 8x12 or even better 8x15. Your current style is excellent in ventilation for your climate.

The roosters are a crap shoot, they might work, they might not. Just know that going in, and solve for the peace in the flock. If you can, keep your current set up, always handy to have a second coop (whispers the enabler).

Haha I love it! For now we are going to keep both the big flocks separate. This weekend I am going to be integrating my momma hen and her 3 ten week old babies with my flock of 10 hens. And then I think after winter we will work on moving all of them together. Maybe moving the other coop that houses the flock of 15 over next to my main coop. I don’t know yet. We’ll have to figure that out when the time comes.
