Integrating new additions

Yeah that's a valid point it is very scary I would be devastated if I lost a of my girls. I guess what I could do as well as get rid of two roosters only keep one rooster to keep her warm until she's ready to get integrated into the flock. The one that's also the buff Orpingtons rooster he's actually really friendly he doesn't pick it mean he's not mean and he's not the one making the noise. I could always go with that option in that might be better

I have also heard of neck ties for the Roosters. They may come and you put them on and they are cute they look like a tie but if the rooster goes to crow it'll give him a little zap. I don't know how I feel about that though that's kind of mean

Yep, keeping one of the roosters might work if you can keep him quiet. I have not heard of the zapping collar and like you, think that sounds a bit mean and not something I would consider. I am in a no rooster zone and prefer not to draw attention to myself and my chickens by trying to bend the rules.

There is the no crow collar which does not zap them but reportedly restricts the crowing by not allowing them to draw in the required amount to crow loudly. Again, I have good and bad news regarding the no crow collars:

They work on some roosters, not on others.
They can take some tweaking to get right and this can take a couple of weeks.
There is a choking hazard.

I have a friend who tried one on her first rooster and even with the collar as tight as was safe, he still had to sleep in a container in a dark area with the collar on to stop him being heard. She ended up rehoming him because she felt mean. She kept one of his sons and the collar works fine on him, keeps his crow very quiet and he gets to sleep on the roost with his gals.

BUT with her first rooster, she nearly lost him during the ‘tweaking’ period as he started to choke, get dizzy etc.

If you keep one of the boys just until she is old enough or ready to be integrated, is there any way you can darken the mini coop to confuse him as to the time of day and deter his crowing?

Maybe have a trial run with your lone hen and the big girls on free range? See how they go, as you say, they might be OK with her. I would keep the boys locked up though.

Yea then I'm gonna keep the nice rooster as long as incan, take the other two out tomorrow to the zoo, and as soon as he gets to be too much I'll put her with the girls. I'm sure I'll get at least 3 more weeks of him being good, he is quiet right now, and she will be 13 weeks by then, big enough to handle the flock

Ok I took the two roosters to the zoo to you place. I cried I feel so bad. I left them with a pile of grapes so they could have one last nice snack and some dried meal worms :(

What a huge difference. My head goldies very scared of people she does not like to come up to you but after I took those two roosters out she was more than willing to walk towards me she bit on my wedding ring a little bit and she sat on perched on my arm and fell asleep
