Just lookin for some advice I will try and not be too long winded. We got our first four pullets spring 2017 and a hen house that we now know is a little small. We then adopted 4 more full grown hens that came with their own good size coop for four hens about three months ago. I since then built a 7'x7' hen house. We just got two more flighty pullets about a month or two ago that went straight into the new house. They now all share the same 1\2 acre and are free to roam in that area as much as they want. They all get along pretty good except a little bullying at feeding time. They still have their little gangs! First four, second four and last two. I do have a fourth small hen house (rabbit hutch) with a Broody hen from the first four and eggs in a small separate run do to hatch Saturday fingers crossed (first time). I know the Broody and chicks if they hatch will need to be kept separate ( just by a poultry wire run so they can see each other until the chicks are big enough)."Most" of the time most of the birds that are laying do so in the new house but choose to sleep in their separate houses. Do you think at this point I can try to put them all together in one house? If so? Could I just make their old houses inaccessible or cover them (out of sight) or should I just remove them? Thanks for any thoughts.
