Integrating New RI Reds to the flock

We have a flock of Four RI Reds that are just over a year old. We also just this spring added 11 more to the mix. The young ones are 9 to 10 weeks old. For the last three weeks we have kept them in the coop separated from the older 4. Today we let them mingle together and while we were there little or no issues. We decided to leave them together for a bit and sadly came back to one of the younger ones dead. It doesn’t look like it was beaten up but the other little ones were definitely scared. Hiding in any corner they could find. Just wondering if there is anything else I could do to keep the peace? Are they still to young? The older girls are very docile and very friendly with us! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
