integration and roost

At what age should I more my chicks in with the big chickens and rooster? Also what should I do if one of my chucks is a rooster? I don't want them fighting.


Also I am wondering, at what age will chicks begin to use the roost. Mine are about 8 weeks old and dont get on the roost.

I think roosting depends, my new hampshires didn't start roosting until they were about 9 weeks but my smaller chicks, black sex links and araucanas all are roosting and they are only 4 weeks. Sorry not much help! Lol
