Integration gone awry!

Snow!!! Good luck with the integration... let us know how it goes!

Thanks-I may have to delay though I found 2 splotches of blood on my nesting box-not sure what its from but picked up all 13 girls that are in that coop and looked at butts etc...nothing! I thought fight wounds?? but then I saw a thread about worms-round worms and how if they are advanced they will cause damage to intenstines and causes the birds to drip blood...My girls have had DE on and in everything from day 1-so I can't see how they could have worms of any kind. I live in a rinky dink town too-so getting meds is not easy-at least an hour away-when I get home tonight Ill check again to make sure there's no more blood-flukey thing? I hate putting the integration on hold but Im notgoing to make my other babies sick for selfish reasons-I will let you know:)

Oh my! I would be worried, too. I hope you get to the bottom of it!

ok I cleaned that coop from head to toe-and no blood/worms in dropppings ...nothing-checked all birds again-nothing. I dont know if my eyes were playing tricks on me or what-but..I let the 4 girls out for the first time since Ive had them-the coop birds instantly went over to investigate-it totally helped I had a huge bowl of wheat pasta I spread out for all to share...Each one of the girls has ventured out to explore a little. They were in a movable tractor-we moved it and propped it up 2 feet for them to go in and out as well as all the other birds. It's been 3 hours and so far so good-they are loving it. I will allow them to go back into their coop tonight but tomorrow night they will have to go into new one-then I will leave them all in it for a few days-they at least have a run in there to nosy around while getting familiar with the pecking order
