Integration Panick - Part 4

ok, first of all, this is (like the name says) a 4th thread on a topic. Ok, so here we go...

My Littles (the chicks) are outside right now, because the adults are in their coop and they can explore without being harmed. But they do have a hiding spot, that is successful. So they have started interaction and I’m just wondering what I should do next. They seem pretty good, and I might make them permanently stay in the coop (still with the hiding spot) tomorrow night. Tips? Ideas? Opinions?

I personally will separate out the chicks inside the coop or shed for a few weeks at night during integration to keep them safe. Keep lots of hiding spots. Stuff little ones can duck under are always a good thing.

Getting away from the dominant birds is a part of chicken society. Once that is learned, it really helps.

The chicks are currently using it in this picture, but they kind of made the hiding spot themselves. I didn’t do anything, and saw that it was working.

I’ve also read about locking up the bully or bullies, and letting the nicer chickens see them. Is this right?
