I have four BBS Ameraucanas, two Barred EEs ( BR x BBS Ameraucana, whose eggs I already collected today), and June who was a gift from a friend when she was a chick. She hatched from an egg that was supposed to be the new Salmon color some are working on, but obviously, she probably came from a blue-wheaten color rooster. The breeder did have Blue Wheatens at the time as well, so I think a rooster jumped the fence. I have no brand new EE layers and usually can recognize each girl's egg shape and color. The shell is paper thin, yes, Olivia. That's why the color is more amazing since those usually are lighter in color, sort of diluted.
There are five out of six blue and green eggs already collected and June is on a nest. If June lays, then that egg had to come from one of the Ameraucanas, either Nora or Gypsy.
