interbreeding

I don't think they can either, and well, even if they can it would be a bit like breeding a great dane to a chihuahua.

No any bobs to bobs coturix to coturnix buttons to buttons only with genetic science can they cross

According to Strombergs Chicks & Gamebirds they can

www.strombergschickens.com/stock/button_quail.php
Bob-Bird A new cross between a Bobwhite species and Coturnix species. Developed for the Dog training /hunting market. In our breeders' field trials, bird displayed an unpredictable flight pattern and returned to the retrieval cage. Environmentally friendly as the birds do not covey up and reproduce in the wild per our breeders' experience. Coloration of chicks will be variable.

Well I didn't know these were even available. I guess anything is possible when you have glow in the dark pigs and cats running around. Who would have ever thought that would be possible.

Does anyone keep Bobs and coturnix together?

Good link but it states they are selling what is called a bob bird and it is a cross but it was not done by putting the birds in a pen and letting them breed

Texas A&M are a cross also but its not something you are goint to do in your backyard
The answer to the OP is no they can't

They just asked if they could hybridize, they didnt say in the backyard, but I see your point
