Interest in a Emu hatch along?

What kind of incubator are you using? Thanks

I was using a Brinsea Eco 40. But I just bought myself a Sportsman and I love it! Plenty of room for all the eggs my female will be laying. She laid two this year but then stopped; I think her boyfriend is a bit young to mate and that's why. But next year :)

That's awesome! That's my dream incubator. I Am a member of a Facebook group that the administrator regularly sells enough raffle tickets to cover the price and shipping then has a drawing, I bought 12 tickets this time and have my fingers crossed. I currently have a little giant that is terrible regulating temperature and I have ordered a new hovabator genesis but it won't be here until Monday and my eggs will be here Friday so I may start them in the little giant and move them to the new one when it shows up.

I have 2 acres fenced in with a 4ft fenced and hope they will have enough room not to leave lol. I would like to keep a few to sell a few eggs. They don't have a very high hatch rate, especially for a novice so I'm just hoping I can get one to hatch.

A 4ft fence is not enough for emus 6 months and older, trust me...they can clear it it a NY minute when spooked. ( it WILL happen ) 6 foot is ideal.

Yes it was. I guess that's the problem?

Might have been. Shipped eggs can get damaged enough in shipping without external signs enough that they are no longer viable. With shipped eggs you tend to think you're lucky if you get even half to hatch.
