Interested in heritage breed chickens

I’ve had flocks of production red chickens in years past, and now in my senior years, I would like to get a mixed flock of just a few chickens. I would like to try some heritage breeds, and have different color eggs, too. Any suggestions on where a person can purchase heritage breed chicks in the DFW area of North Texas?

There are many online hatcheries that sell heritage breed birds (though most do not fit the SOP). You can also look for local breeders around you via Google, Facebook, Craigslist, or the thread N F C has provided you. Best of luck!
