Interested in thoughts on this bird...

I do apologize for my part of the argument. I personally think it's beautiful and just got irritated when people said to shoot it just because it was a crossbreed, not because it was a nice looking bird. I do understand wanting to mount and preserve something beautiful, but i think its different than qanting to kill somethibg just because of its genetics.


Do the people who own them have lots of different types? If you know that, that is

Im not expecting apologies on here but if we could just keep it kind and respect others beliefs as they are entitled to them.


Anyway back to the main event....

the place i saw this pheasant has a lot of large aviary's in which they keep quite a few breeds of pheasant and other wildlife.

I wouldn't have thought that they would have purposely breed this pheasant which is why it was probably roaming free around their land and probably wouldnt have any access to females unless it went wandering off into the countryside to find a mate. It would be fed very well where it was and probably would stay put.
