Interesting ducks at our local lakes

Sure, as long as it's for your own personal use, only. I may want to use it commercially for something later on.

Here is another duck, one I showed before. I call him Chocolate because he's actually a few even colored brown, though it doesn't show very much in the sun.

Chocolate is part black Indian runner and part wild mallard. He was hatched on Memorial Day weekend and almost got trampled when a drake started to chase his mom around. Luckily, he could run around pretty good, but got knocked down a lot.

He has a half sister who hatched about two weeks after he did and she looks a lot like him.

It's possible that she's got other breeds in her, but when she stands up on land, she stands almost straight up like a runner most of the time as does her brown companions.

I hope she sticks around the lake, too. She's so friendly sometimes, but maybe it's just to me.

Love your duck pics, beautiful ducks!
Very good quality, too... can't wait til I get a camera

I think a lot of people here in San Diego release their ducks in lakes when they get big and messes.

Yeah a lot of different breeds there - we've got heaps of lakes here but most of them are used to water-ski on, which prevents anyone to get close to the ducks, swans or anything.
