I have 3 Australorps from spring 2021. In 2022 I got 2 Buff Orpingtons and an Easter Egger chick. It has been interesting to see one of the buffs Braveheart, who used to burrow under the other, Mazie, on the roost and sleep that way, get rejected when Mazie was first of the three to start laying eggs in the fall. Then Braveheart and Amelia Airheart, the easter egger became roost mates.
When Braveheart started laying, Amelia was on her own. She has been at the bottom of the pecking order.
Meanwhile, Mazie has her own corner on the roost, Separated from Amelia with a hanging towel. Braveheart has wiggled her way in between the 3 Australorps on the window roost, and one of the Aussies, Brown Eyed Betty has moved to the other back corner, on the right side of Amelia.
Mazie still dominates over Braveheart out in the yard, but Braveheart gets VIP seating on the roost.
As far as the question, if I were to get 2 more Easter Eggers, bringing me to capacity, would one of them likely end up at the bottom of the order where Amelia now is?
