Interesting prints in the snow, bear?

I agree with @ChickenCanoe; you could possibly have critters that aren't supposed to be in the area. I saw both a wolverine and black bear in northern Indiana as a kid (which we weren't supposed to have either), and mountain lions have been spotted in southern Indiana over the past 5 years. You just never know...

I guess anything's possible. I'd expect missing barn cats or something if it was a wolverine though, these tracks are right behind my barn. 30-40 feet from the front barn door and driveway, with easy access to kittens and cat food.

This is true, and the rumors are forever circulating. I had a DEC employee tell me once that you'd never find a coyote here over 30lbs. Turns out we have coywolves that are substantially larger. They occasionally corner people, kill big dogs etc.

bear tracks is easy if you have front and back prints,, the rear print is shaped like a human foot print looked like bear in the photo.

Here's another one I found later in the morning. Could be unrelated though, it's like a party out there near the manure pile.
