Interesting protein source?

Thanks guys..the fish are probably fine...my husband is probably overly fastidious...probably those fish and crawdads are cleaner than what you get at the store. Heck, the boy has fallen in enough times and swallowed enough water by now that he would have turned green if there were excessive pollution. The dog drinks out of it all the time...still just the one tail on him. Well cool...free kid harvested protein!

Yeah, to many southerners that would be like feeding the chickens prime rib. Sure, it's good for them, but....

I just got back from south Louisiana. It is crawfish season. Boiled, etouffee, fried tails, gumbo. That was nice.

I would not hesitate to feed them the crawfish. They will not only get protein, they will get a lot of calcium from the shells.

My duck loves these. The creek seems to be depleted of them though, haven't found any for awhile.
