Intergration is stressfull!

I integrated my three 8 week old chick's today, Walter, Blackberry and Shadow.. my low hen was super mad and mean but no blood drawn. Just a few feathers lost and some squawking.. I was overall pretty pleased with the introduction. We put a pool ladder in there that the adults don't use but they seem to enjoy it.. I have been watching them for the last 2 hours and so far so good.. I will have more to integrate later on when those ones mature more but man Stress city lol I just don't want anyone getting hurt. I was surprised my roo was really quite good with them as I thought they might be too old for him to protect/get along with. That all being said, I think this was a success so far lol

And, is a couple hours long enough to watch or should I watch more? I need to go shopping and want to make sure they will all be ok.

Well I went shopping and back .. glad to see all was well while I was gone lol

I watch for the first hour or so, then I check in periodically after that. I'd continue to check in the next couple of days every so often, but sounds like they're doing well so far!

Good stuff! I'm glad it went well so far. I'm a little worried about introducing the current chicks I have when they get old enough. It's encouraging to read a success story!
