One day last wk, one of our mutt ducks (?pekin mix) was found on her back & after righting her, she had a very hard time walking & balancing. Unable to find niacin caps or brewers yeast, I started gave her peas & mealworms. The next day she was fine. This week she had another day of poor balance/unable to get off her back or walk well. 24 hrs later she was fine. I now have niacin & brewers yeast which she is starting on as a preventative. My question is: if this is niacin deficiency, why are none of the other ducks affected & would it resolve within 24 hrs?What else could it be? TIA
