Good morning, or good afternoon. It has been around 18-24 hours Sense my duck egg has internally piped, should I be worried? No stank or anything. I’m wondering if I should help if but I’m not sure if helping it too early will harm it, but I don’t want it to suffocate either. Any tips?? Thanks!

If it still peeps quite loudly it should still be fine but if it starts to sound weaker I would make a safety hole. Doing so often stops them finishing the hatching process themselves and you have to help them (not that that is an issue as long as you wait 48 hours from the time you make the safety hole to ensure they have fully absorbed the remains of the yolk).

This thread has lots of interesting information in the first post that might help (it's more like an article). Although it's in the Goose forum it applies to any bird egg.
