Internal layer????????? What is this please?

I have read several people talking about a hen possibly starting to be an internal egg layer. What is this and what are the signs of it? If a hen has become an internal layer, how can you fix this problem? I did read one post that stated what she thought that it was, but wasn't sure.

It is basically where the hen's system stops working right and the egg's, or rather yolks, fail to get into the reproductive tract and thus she becomes an internal layer. Signs of this are often stuff like bloating of the body and a listless hen. As for a cure... I think someone had a hysterectomy done on their pet bird.

Silkiechicken - Thanks for the information. I haven't noticed listlessness. I have been watching one of my LB. She gets on the nest and sits there for a while, but when she gets up, there is no egg.
