So glad for this site, been here many times but never needed to ask a question. But here it is. One of our Reds is perky enough, but not moving. Having read a few others and another vet techie site, I still have one question. When I put on my gloves and "examined her" I did not find any evidence of an egg, but did find small remnants of what looked like pieces of cooked egg yolk. Thinking she may be an internal layer, others described that condition with a swollen belly, which she definitely has, but if so is the belly swollen and soft rather than hard? Our girl's belly is swollen and soft.

thanks so much for any expertise or experience with this!
