No respiratory distress, just normal summer heat as far as other stressors. She was my 2nd pullet to lay an egg, but then she went over 2 weeks without laying, and i noticed her being slow to get around and a swollen belly. I was using tums the first 2 days, but read about d3 helping calcium absorption so I bought some tablets that are calcium/d3 that I gave her yesterday. Should I try to look inside this egg? I've just had it sitting there because I'm scared haha. I'll give that article a read, thank you.The first looks like thin shell with a lot of calcium deposits. The second is really strange, almost like extra thin shell, deposits, and wrinkled. Have you heard any sneezing recently with a mild respiratory disease, or has their been a lot of stress in the flock? Her oviduct and it’s shell gland certainly has something going on. I would continue the calcium, and calcium citrate with D 3 300-600 mg a day is okay for 7 days. Here is one that is a good price:

Here is a good article to read about egg shells, how they are formed, and possible reasons for abnormal shells. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/common-egg-quality-problems.65923/
Edit to add that I decided to investigate the egg. It did indeed have a very thin shell that was wrapped around the soft part of the egg almost like a rosette.
