Hello, I have a quick question about integrating my 6 week old chick with the adult chickens.

basically since the chick was a week old its been in a small broody ark within the chickens run. so they've seen him every day and grown accept him as part of the flock.. or so i thought..

I released him 5-6 days ago in with his mum into the larger run and apart from the very occasional chase they've left they little one very much alone and he's been getting on fine... sharing food and drink hasent been a problem so far.

I thought the next step would be having them sleeping in the same coop together so i've tried showing him how to get up the ramp into the house and finally tonight he worked it out.

The only problem however was that one of the more dominant hens kept chasing the little fella out.

now, if i want this to work what is the best approach?

I got told that slipping the mother and baby in after dark would work and tonight i've tried that and there doesent seem to be a problem yet.. i'm checking regularly.

Any brainy chickens keepers out there who could help me??
