I have two chicks. They will be 6 weeks on Thursday. I've been letting them outside for the past few days but today it is only 60 degrees. Is that too cold? It is supposed to rain tonight and the rest of the week so I wanted to give them some outside time today.

At 6 weeks they should be about fully feathered. They will be good in the 60-degree temperatures. You can also remove the heat lamp or plate. You may want to keep it outside in a safe spot for the first night then remove it.

For a 6 week old chick, too cold is in the low teens or single digits. They will be fine
