I just put my assorted Duck and Chicken eggs into the hatcher. I timed it so that they would all arrive about the same time. Duck eggs take longer to hatch. I still have my Pene eggs in the incubator. I'll let them hatch in there since it has the didgital thermostate and they are the more important eggs. I'll let you know how it goes with my peeps and quacks. I'm so tore up right now...can't wait.

Good luck, Gloria! I remember when you won the Pene eggs. Sometimes, the last couple of days are the calm before the storm. Eggs that were rocking on Day 18 seem to stop and rest before the big push.

I don't even want to think about waiting for the Pene eggs. It's hard to candle them because they are so dark. I still have awhile to go on them.

Candled last night. Ducks are trying to pip into the air sack, lots of movement inside the shell but no visable rocking. Chicks are moving alot inside also.

Merry Christmas!! I have 2 Christmas chicks so far with more on the way!! The Mother was my Buttercup and it looks likes the Father was my Barred Rock. They are dark so I don't think my Salmon Fav was the daddy. Can't wait for more. I'll post pictures when they go into the brooder. Merry Christmas to ME!!
