Into the hatcher

It's day 19 and I moved a dozen eggs to the hatcher this morning....8 of my Marans and 4 Araucanas. In a couple days another 8 will go in. The trips up and down the basement steps are just starting!

Oh Katy... how exciting... we are on the same day!! We just put 10 australorps in the hatcher at 7 and we will put 10 EEs in on Weds. Everytime we check our eggs, I'll pray for yours too. Come on chickies!!!!

I'm happy to have some fluffy butts on the way again....seems like forever since I've had any, but it's only been since December!!

I have eggs from Speckledhen going into the hatcher today. I thought yesterday, but I recounted and I was wrong. So far the stupid still air bator wont hold a constant temp, so I haven't moved them into it yet. My bator is also in the basement, I've been up and down the stairs what seems like a million times already just trying to get temp and humidity right.

Way to go Katy!!... I caved in and set 18 Lt. Brahma eggs out of my pen this morning!!!..lol...DH thinks I'm nuts so I just show him everyone elses posts!!...I was secretly marking them and saving for the past 3 days!!...Got the bator out and running last night to make sure things were good to go......My bator is in the kitchen on one of the counters so not too many steps while multi-tasking...

Well, I don't have a separete hatcher, but I have two incubators that I will stop the turners on tomorrow. I have Speckledhen's eggs in one and about 40 "mix and match" eggs in the other. I love this phase of hatching, it is so exciting no matter how many times I do it. I love that there are so many of us going through it at the same time. Bet there will be lots of posting going on!

Katy, I had to edit and add...weren't you and I hatching out about the same time in December? Seems like we were both waiting on shipped eggs. How funny is that and do we ever have it bad!
