Hello! I’m Hoglord

I am new to chicken keeping though I had chickens briefly as a child and have boarded with a lady who kept chickens so I know the basics. I went to an agricultural high school back in the day and learned all about chickens there too.

I have never raised chicks before though! A week ago I bought 4 day olds all different breeds.

Pekin (now dead) :(
Lavender Sussex
Polish
Olive egger

So now left with three.
I believe they aren’t the best quality chicks as they hatched early autumn and were all very tiny. I am having lots of issues so far :(

Anyway, nice to meet you! Hope things get easier!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

Sorry you lost one but it sadly, it does just happen sometimes. It's one of the reasons that birds have so many offspring vs. mammals.

Can you post pictures of your brooder setup?
What exactly are you feeding them?
Where did you get them?
