Hi all! Happy to find this forum. I’m new to chickies and am worried about one of them. She is 6 days old and not growing like the others. They are mixed breeds however her sister is also an Easter Egger and growing bigger than her. She seems to get picked on and yesterday I noticed she’s avoiding standing on her left leg. I’ve separated her to give her space with her own food and water and she actually slept on me last night and I’ve noticed she prefers to be held.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Her name is Miley. She’s the penguin looking one. The 3rd photo under the plate was this morning.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, 6 days ago on their hatch day

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

8

Miley, Lana, Britany, Dolly, Stevie, Blondie, Selena and Taylor

(3) What breeds do you have?

Easter Egg, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island, Cinnamon Queen, Silver Wyandotte, Blue Americuana

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

I love animals and try to provide a loving safe home to as many as possible. I also have a flower farm and practice regenerative farming so they will be with me in the fields. Eggs for family.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Flower farming, floristry, dancing, animal rescue, anything outdoors in nature

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Flower farmer and florist. Still working full time in a medical spa. Married, 2 adult boys. 2 rescued terriers Chance and Eli and Russian Blue kitty Phoenix.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

Welcome to BYC!! Beautiful chicks and pictures!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Where did you get the chicks? If she is a mixed breed, could she be mixed with a bantam?
I would start boosting her with several drops of poultry multivitamin and mineral supplement three times a day for a week and see if that helps her. You should divide the brooder so she can access the heat and all the chicks can see each other and keep her there until she is moving without signs of injury.
