(1) I have had chickens a little over a year now.
(2) I currently have 46 chickens
(3) My farm has Rhode Island Whites, Buff Orpingtons, Silver Laced Wynadottes, and Red Ranger hens. We have a lot of new chicks some of which have yet to be identified as they aren't what I thought I was buying! Of the identified birds, there are Isa browns, Ameraucanas, an Easter Egger, and Cornish Rocks.
(4) Watching them and learning their personalities as well as fresh eggs.
(5) I enjoy farming, camping, spending time with my family, and playing games
(6) I live on a small farm just outside of Clemson, South Carolina with my husband and 3 children. The chickens actually belong to my youngest child. She is 8 years-old and sells her eggs mainly to the local produce guy. We also have 3 cats and 2 dogs. We hope to get a cow (or two) and start aquaponics in the next year.
(7) I found BYC a year ago when we bought our very first chickens. I have been using the website and reading posts ever since! A lot of what I have learned about chickens has come from this site. I finally decided to join because I need to ask a question myself. The cornish rock chicks I bought in late February aren't cornish rocks!! In fact, I have 2, maybe 3 different species that I need help identifying.
