It's been a while, but we finally adopted a flock of 5 Rhode Island Reds. :D They were my sister in laws who couldn't take them moving. They gave us a temporary coop and small run too. The girls made it through night one with no incidents. My kids had them out of the run around the yard and garden today. And were excited to find 4 eggs. :) And i was the proud recipient of a 'world's greatest daddy' card today! Sorry fellas, today was all mine! ;)

The coop and run isn't as secure as i'd like, because we do have a few kits of fox around. And juggling between projects as tough. But i'd like to wall-in the back third of my shed for a coop and add on to the existing run structure by next spring.
