I am new to chickens and ducks, I started in April this year, so always have questions and still learning. We currently have 6 hens and about to get two roosters. We have a few more but our dog got a couple. We have 10 ducks as well 8-9 hens and 1-2 drakes not sure if one is a drake or not but for sure one is. The chicken breeds we have are Americana, Gold laced Wyandotte, Black Australorp, Golden sex-link, Delaware, black sex-link. And for ducks we have 2 Rouens, 2 Khaki Campbells, 1 Magpie, 1 Black Swedish mixed (Drake), 4 Blue Swedish mixed (possibly 1 drake). And 17 eggs in our incubator due to hatch Friday, there are magpies, mystery mixed breeds (not mine), and Indian runners. I'm not really sure of other hobbies, sort of artistic and crafty love building things. I am a mom to 2 &4-year-old girls, and wife to my husband, we have two dogs, and a couple fish as well. Our dogs are Pitbull & terrier mixed, Purebred Border Collie. The Border collie is the poultry killer. I am a stay at home mom to my two kiddos. I forgot to add that we have two royal palm turkeys that are still young 2 months old or so.

One rooster per ten to twelve hens is a safer ratio. 2 roosters with only six girls is going to cause you and the hens a lot of problems.
