My grandpa had a country house with many farm animals with hundreds of chickens. My earliest memory playing with chickens is at the age of 4 or 5.

0. But, I'm here to know about the characteristics of breeds and which ones to buy.

Googled chicken forums or something lol

I collect. I go for road trips. Reading!

I definitely recommend a trip to the Learning Centre where there are many, many articles to assist with your research.

Another great resource are the previous discussions on the Topic of the Week articles.

BYC also has a Coop & Run Forum if you are building your own or need advice on a second hand one etc.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Finally, If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock when they arrive or your coop build etc, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
