(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Very new. Gathering any and all information to begin getting chickens. Any advice is greatly welcomed!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 0

(3) What breeds do you have? Open to suggestions. Want kid friendly chickens, but also decent egg layers.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? google

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? photography

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Just purchased some land and we want to have some animals. We have 4 little girls (3 year old triplets and a 1 year old), and a lab/border collie mix.

If you would like to chat with other members in KY, you can find your state thread here:
Kentucky . People that live in your area will be a good source for breed advice, how to deal with any weather challenges you may have, etc.
