Hey everyone! I hope all is well with you all! I've been back and forth on these threads researching various topics I just decided to join!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
-I got my first flock last year. Dominiques, Isa Browns, and Astralorps. Still consider myself a newbie as I am still learning!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
-Currently from the original flock I have four. Out of eight five were roosters! Just my luck lol!
(3) What breeds do you have?
-Dominiques, Isa, and Astralorps. Currently hactching Barred Hollands. Would also like to add a flock of Ayam Cemani down the road here!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
-Their little personalities, they crack me up! Not to mention the free eggies! (Haven't processed for meat yet..kinda to attached to do that lol)
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
-Writing, reading, hiking, crocheting, scrapbooking, photography, music, and cinema.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
-I live with my handsome hubby, our five children, and his elderly grandfather. We have three dogs and a cat. I am a homemaker while taking classes online in the little time I have left when everyone is settled in for bed. Busy days and long nights is the name of the game for me!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
-I've been driving myself crazy with hatching for the first time, I dont know how many questions I've googled and ended up reading through threads on BYC. I figured I might as well join!
