I have Turken chickens that I purchased a year ago at tractor supply. They look like more as broiler chickens, big and heavy. I noticed some of them have difficulty breathing, but no coughing or sneezing, eyes and nozzles are good; droppings are normal too. One of them today I noticed when she lays down her comb becoming dark blue so she gets up and color backs up to normal red. She eats and drinks. Anyone who can give any advice please.

Turkens are dual purpose, so can be big bodied, but are generally considered hardy. When you say you noticed them having difficulty breathing, outside of the recent blueing of your hebs comb, what specifically are you observing

It seems that many of the Turkens sold at Tractor Supply last year turned out to be naked neck meatbird crosses.

Meatbirds are bred to grow large and be butchered at a young age. If they are allowed to live longer their weight puts stress on their internal organs and it can cause breathing and heart problems. They need limited, portioned feedings in order to keep them from being overweight.
