Part of me wishes I would have raised chicks so they could be that friendly. We got our first chickens at 4 weeks. Later we added year olds from a commercial operation. The year olds are more friendly than the ones we have had the longest. Only one will fly up and sit on the arm of my chair. The others sit close. When I play music, they seem to like it. They almost make a purr sound sometimes
