Intro.

Welcome. I am so sorry for your losses.
Yeast is hard to get rid of, but start by cutting out high carb treats, such as scratch. You can treat them with a femine yeast cream 2x a day for 7 days.
I do not do surgery on bumbleffot. I soak the foot in warm water 2x a day for about 5 minutes. Dry carefully and release. After soaking for a few days, peal off the scab, apply antibiotic cream (no pain reliever type) and wrap with vet wrap. Do this 1 or 2x a day until healed.
Good luck, and hang in there. It will get better.
Thanks for the advice! why don't you cut out the infection?

I did once upon a time, after giving a baby aspirin. That hen is still scared of me. I'm sure it was painful for her.
I think the less invasive the treatment the better. It is less likely to cause more infection and It also heals faster this way. I did forget to say, squeeze the kernel out when you remove the scab.
