(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
First-time chicken owner. Got seven chicks back in April after never having birds (everything but, just about).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Six
(3) What breeds do you have?
Allegedly three barred rocks, two speckled sussex, and a california white, but I have no idea anymore. Please help me
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They're incredibly silly and super interesting to watch, at least for me as a new chicken owner.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I write a lot
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I grew up on a farm in Alabama with cows and miniature donkeys, so the chickens are a bit of a downsize haha. I also have three dogs and three cats. I'm fully self-employed and work from home doing a myriad of things mostly related to graphic design and web development.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
