Blythewood
hello,
My name is Kenny and I live in Blythewood,SC. Just recently married (March12). Now I have 3 pullets. Born march 16th.
Looking to network with locals and others as well.
We have now 4 dogs, 1 cat. The teenagers love the chic's and we are looking forward to eggs and raising our BYC.
Q: is it to late to add 1 more chic to the bunch?
Thanks for reading my post
Sincerely,
Kenny

Hi and
welcome-byc.gif
from missouri! And as to your question i dont think it is to late. I have had plenty of chicks that i put together. Some even 2 months apart. You just need to watch them and make sure the young one is not getting picked on. If she does there is an amazing trick, that i learned from another member on here, take a peice of plexy glass up between them. Where they can see each other but not touch each other. They will eventually get used to each other and accept the little one. I just did this with ducks that were two weeks apart and it worked. If you have to do this when you introduce them again make sure there is plenty of little treats for them to share together. The little one might be pecked a couple time but that will stop. Its just a domenance thing. Good Luck and congrats on the new chicks.

Congratulations on your marriage and your decision to get chicks. It will be a decision you'll never regret! As to too late to add another chick, I would say no. They aren't going to be that far apart in age. They might not even know the diff.
