This thread is for posting pictures and status of my pet quails.
I'm really beginner at this and it's first pair of quails I have in my life.
I had some problem and posted about it on forum but it's stable now and they're happy. (probably except my aggressive roo.)
First I lost my chicken due to disease, his name was Poppo.
He was the most gentle and smart chicken I have ever have.
So I decided to get quails so I can actually look after them because they're small and they're close enough to chicken but I know that they're totally different to chicken so I did a lot of research before getting one.
I bought them from the farm. I name them Nath and Sora and hoped for them to be all hen.
but now Nath is a hen, Sora is a roo.
when they were small and just hatched that day when I bought from the farm.
I was waiting to go get the cage at my grand parent's house so they had to be in cardboard box for a while with warm light bulb.
This is a video of them at first day.

5 days later they grew this fast.
I know that they're super hard to tame.
so I did my best to be really patience.
I put some food on my hand then placed my hand still in the cardboard box..
over 2 hours everyday until in this video they finally ate food on my hand.

Then I finally got them a cage.
They really couldn't be separated and always were together.
They quite tame a bit now especially Sora, He didn't run away even my camera was this close.
But Nath just stood up and walked away.
Sora was interested in pizza I had..
also they changed a lot now.
Sora was pretty tame and friendly.
Nath was still scared of my hand and didn't let me touch easily.
Nath
Sora (also brown feather started to develop so I knew he's a roo that time.)
Time passed.. They're 4 weeks old.
I really love how they stood still on my hand while I took their photos.
Now they're both tamed especially Nath is really calmed and happy.
Sora started to crow a lot and acted weird.. he barely ate.
Nath
Sora
They still slept together..
Nath was yawning.
Nath is this calmed that I could even do this to her.

Then Nath started to lay the egg for the first time.
and she was only 4 weeks and 5 days old.
very tiny
This is how tamed Nath is.
She is not scared of my anymore.

I built DIY incubator with my husband but he's a lead because he knows how to do things.
I started to incubate some of Nath's eggs.
1 off eggs was empty so I just buried it yesterday.
but other 2 have lifes and they're going to hatch in 5-6 days
Then recently.. Sora has gone mad.. he is super aggressive now.
He hurt Nath badly and cause her to force laying egg out even the egg was still not done.
And he even hurt my arm and hand badly so I separated him from Nath forever.
This picture was before he turned super aggressive over night.
wah Nath! don't eat my camera.
They live in different cage now.
Sora even broke his own toe nail and bled a lot... but I already aid him and stopped the blood.
Nath has laid 4 double yolk eggs so far!
How is that even possible?
First one just got buried because that egg was empty.. I kept incubating that one because I thought there was a baby inside.. but it actually a double yolk that I mistook them as a baby.
And how crazy that is.. It's her first egg in her life.
Second one, was pretty huge.
I was so surprised seeing this in the cage.
And then I cracked it out and ate it.

The third one is huge again but the pattern is beautiful..
I'm waiting to gather more eggs so I can cook them again.
The forth one is sad because Sora kicked him and made her scared badly.. so she forced laying that one out and cracked outside her body and I saw double yolk from the egg again.. I didn't take a photo because it's full of poop.
