Introduce new chickens: diseases?

Hello. After my old chicken passed, I would like to introduce new ones to my flock. Though, I am worried about potential diseases as I have made this mistake in the past. Any tips you may want to share with me?

Only chicks from good hatcheries, preferable vaccinated there against Marek's disease, then isolated from your environment for two to three weeks, fit the bill. Unless you have MS or MG endemic in your flock. What diseases did you introduce in the past?
Biosecurity is a big deal with chickens, knowing what problems you've had matters.

Thanks for your answer. 2 old chickens died from respiratory diseases. I have 2 young ones and are doing great. I am doubting!

Old birds will die, for many reasons. Check with your state veterinary path lab, at least here there was a swab test for Mycoplasma that could be sent in to them.
