I have two 2 year old RIRs that we have had since they were babies and last month we took in 2 grey babies we think are grey Orpingtons. We have mostly kept the babies inside but they are now in a separate cage inside the coop/run. What is the best way to integrate the babies in with the older hens?
When they were together the hens attacked the babies, more than what looked like safe normal pecking and we can’t spend all day watching them. The babies are probably about 2 months old now so it will be a while until they are large enough to defend themselves. Any suggestions on how to safely integrate them all together?
