Introducing 2 yr old layers to my layer flock.

I always dread introducing new chickens/laying hens to my already established flock as their fighting is upsetting. I know theres a pecking order but Jeesh.
A few weeks ago i got 3 layers from a farm, took a week to introduce them slowly, but one of the EE went after one of my EE's and visa versa, so i took the new one out and she stayed in a big cage for 3 days, in plain view of the others. What an attitude change after i let her back in with the flock. Now everyone gets along, i guess they established a strong pecking order while she was gone.
