Introducing a new bird to the flock, quarantine help

I saw a gorgeous roost at my local feed store and I’m considering getting him, but all of my babies have come in as chicks so I’m not sure the best way to bring one in. How long should he be quarantined and how far should his area be from the main run while in quarantine? Anything I should look for besides obvious injuries or mites? Will he be okay alone for the duration of quarantine? Is it worth introducing an older bird from an unknown flock?

He’s beautiful! I’ve heard thirty days of quarantine before, and he might complain about being isolated, but he would be fine. I’m afraid I don’t know much more about it
