Introducing a new hen

Wait, you mean you added a chick to a full grown chicken? Bad idea. A full grown bird can and will kill a chick. Always when introducing new birds you must separate them and let them see each other through wire. Introducing chicks , pullets and hens is a catchy thing. There is a thing called pecking order. I have pullets chicks and hens, and am trying to get them all together. We have had them introduce each other through a wire fence, and these last few days all on the lawn . There is still squabbles but it's better each day. It takes time to get two different ages today and chicks with full grown hens is a no no. Unless you want to see a dead chick .

I have the same problem you do, i have to put a pullet in the coop with 3 other hens and a rooster. The best thing to do is let nature take its chorus.
let's hope that poor pullet has a place to run to for safety. Scary would be to see a dead pullet as nature takes its course
