introducing a rooster only for a few days??

I have all hens and would like some fertile eggs from THEM. Can I bring in a rooster to "do the deed" and then remove him because where I live roosters are not allowed lol. Would this work???

If yes once he does mate with them how long are fertile eggs produced??

You would/should always quarantine a new bird for 30 days before you introduce them to you flock, I think it would be very hard to do this. Maybe just better to buy hatching eggs. Eggs are usually fertile about a week or so after the rooster and hen mate.

Well I was also thinking about using one of the babies that I bought. I bought 7 and ones gotta be a rooster so I was thinking about just holding on to one of them to do the job?
