I have a flock of hens and i want to introduce a rooster. Should i get a sex-link chick or a pullet? i want my roo to be friendly like my girls, can you "train" a rooster to be nice as a pullet? Any suggestions?

Just to clarify, you are asking on how to train a rooster to be nice to you, one that you have had since a chick? Or asking on how to introduce to your flock? I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be dense just want to make sure of the question

You can handle a roo from a young age, but there is only so much you can do with their genetic makeup. Some say you can baby them too much. If you really want a nice roo, pick one from a good breed (such as barred rock, buff orpington, or marans) known for good roosters, and get an older one that has proven his personality. There are lots of nice roos that need good homes.
