Introducing a rooster

I'm debating introducing a rooster to my 12 4 month old isa Browns. I have a friend who is giving away an americauna rooster who is about the same age as my pullets. Is this a bad idea?

It should be fine! The pullets might give him a hard time for a bit until his hormones kick in and he takes charge, so I would do a slow introduction, but otherwise it should be okay. I would recommend quarantine, but if you're getting him from a friend and you're confident that he's healthy you can skip that if you feel comfortable doing so.
