Introducing a Rooster

I recently acquired a rooster who had been beat up by other Roos at his former home. What is the best way to integrate him with my hens? he is about 8 months old and my ages are 3 months-3 years.

Story says he may be aggressive if he can be, so I might introduce him in a cage to first judge reaction.

Could be he is a perfect sweetheart too.

Put him in something like a wire cage so he and the other hens can see each other. Do that for 1-2 weeks, introduce him, and monitor them to make sure no fights break out.

I put one in a cage for a few days in the pen where he was going. He did fine.

Quarantine for 30 days before introducing him to your flock. Then do a see but don't touch stage for a week or two in a separate cage, until the flock mostly ignores him. Then let him out and monitor how he does.
