We went to a poultry show yesterday and today we are introducing a red partridge bantam wyandotte and a black partridage silkie to our original flock of three very sweet birds. The new hens are 3 months old, and the wyandotte (Adele) is settling in surprisingly quickly. The silkie hen (Odette), however, doesn't even take a step from where I set her down in the yard. She seems very happy and content when she's being held, but I can't hold her all day
. I'm new to silkies--can anyone that is familliar with them give me some advice? She has a very full crest, is it possible she doesn't see well?
